A friend and I want to buy Cubase, so we can start recording. Let's split the cost of the program and would like on my Mac and your Mac to install The problem is that he lives about 1 hour. We have just learned about this stupid dongle thing. My question is, can not only get a different memory stick (256 MB Walmart, or very large can) and a copy of Cubase key so that both the software without 1 hours drive change? Thank you!

What do you use the dongle to be a legitimate version and one with the key "virtual" is used for an illegal copy and will be able to download updates and bug fixes.
This method is not recommended and if you are the music production and maybe one day that they are serious, then (for the benefit of Steinberg), I recommend the purchase of legitimate copies of its own dongle.
